Rampage Soccer

History of the Rampage

The team was founded in the early nineties by Dan Churchwell and began in Panama City Florida. The team was started to provide a competitive program for those adults ineligible to play on the two existing teams in Panama City, the Tyndall Air Force Base military team and the Gulf Coast Community College team.  The Florida team developed into a very strong program winning the Northwest Florida Soccer Association (NWFSA) title and continued to reside at the top level of the league until the Rampage ended Florida operations in 1998.  Additionally, the Rampage also won titles at the Warner Soccer Super-Six tournaments in Tallahassee capturing four of these and becoming a target for many teams attending the small-sided tournaments. The Rampage also competed in the Florida State Cup and captured the Northwest Florida championship.  The Panama City Rampage was also very active with the youth soccer program and had several players carrying national coaching credentials as high as a "C" license.

Big congrats to the team above who narrowly beat our MLS Futbolito squad in the summer of 2003. They finished 2nd and collected a $1,000 check for their efforts. Hopefully, a Rampage squad will have this photo opportunity in the summer of 2004.

Could this be the first-ever Rampage mascot or is this proof our fans are animals?
