On March 30, 2005 RBIS
Rampage hosted their first charity fundraiser to benefit United for
D.C., the charitable arm of D.C. United. The event was a viewing party
for the US Men's National Team World Cup Qualifier vs. Guatemala.
Overall, the night was a HUGE success. The team was able to
raise close to $2,000 for the charity and everyone had a great
time. Pictured below is the presentation of the check by Seth
Geftic and Dan Churchwell to Stephen Zack (Sr. Vice President of DC
United) and Catherine Marquette (Director of Community Relations).
Following the presentation photos is a recap of the event and photos of
the viewing party.

The event kicked off at 6pm at
Bailey’s Pub & Grille in Ballston. Right away fans were coming in to
have an early dinner and a few beers before the game. By the time
the game started at 8pm, a crowd approaching 150 people were witnessing
the US win 2-0 with goals from Eddie Johnson and Steve Ralston. Several
USA chants were heard throughout the night. There were also some D.C.
United chants in anticipation of their opener a few days later. The
winners of the halftime and post-game raffles went home the happiest.
RBIS Rampage would like to thank all of those who
were able to attend the charity event and help make it a huge success.
We would also like to thank D.C. United, Bailey's and Annandale Sports
for contributing to the raffle prizes (which included D.C. United
tickets, signed D.C. United merchandise and t-shirts). A special thanks
goes to our sponsor, RBIS Ltd., and Mike DeFazio of D.C. United for
their support.
We hope to hold more events to benefit United for
D.C. in the future. Hopefully we'll see you there!
